Can you recommed a dealer going below invoice?

I'm in PA but I would go out of state.

I'm looking for a Black or White V8 with Teak interior. Premium Plus is really the only option (package) that I have to have. I'd prefer a 2005 but if someone here has an 04 that fits this description that has been problem free, I'd consider buying used.

But, if someone can recommend a dealer who is willing to move a car for less than invoice, please let me know. Thanks!

Good Luck. This is a very hard combination to fined. I had to order one from the dealer. I talk to the dealer yesterday who informed me my black/teak v8 Touareg with pkg#3 would arrive mid June javascript:emoticon('')

Any dealer can search the database and see if the car is available in your area. If another dealer has it and is willing to trade then your set.

Happy Hunting

I was able to pick up my V8 under invoice in Southern California. James Knab at Fladeboe VW (Irvine, CA) gave me $900 below invoice + a $500 cash rebate for already owning a VW (he's fleet and stuck to his word, I had a set price over the phone). That might pay for your trip. Here's the toll free # (866) 504-1122. Ask for James Knab. You can tell him Mike from Long Beach, CA told you about him.

P.S. the weather has been great this week and we have the Dodgers and the Angels

Not familiar with a dealer up there. I'm in FLa.

I'd stay away from a 2004. Mine went back under LemonLaw and is being replaced by a new 2005 in Colorado Red with Air Suspension/Xenon lights.

Nav system isn't much use since you have to be stopped to use it. Better to get a TOMTOM or Magellan GPS for 600.

For what it's worth, my 2004 has had no problems. Chances are most of the leftover 04's will be later production builds, meaning they are less likely to have issues, though there are no guarantees.

Actually, you do not have to be stopped when using the nav, that's one of the few positives with this sytem compared to others. And while I agree that there are better nav systems out there, I for one am reasonably happy with mine.

Good luck in your search esfo!

Dealer under invoice

Most every dealer will sell under invoice if you arm yourself with the ammunition before you go into the dealer.

If you use Consumer Reports New Car Buying feature on their web site you'll get ample information. I've posted on this several times here.

Go to their website, prepare to pay them about $12 for everything you need to download in about 20 pages for the Touareg. Read it carefully, negotiate firmly but politely and chances are good you'll get it under invoice and the dealer will still make some money, but not more than he should.

I found a car on ebay being sold by dealer in PA Bertolett VW in Orwigsburg, it did not reach its minimum and I called them after the auction was over, it was an 04 with Air susspension, Nav, priemium package, it only had 475 miles on it and I paid $41K for it. So look at ebay but follow the advise I recieved from folks on on the forums be carefull. the guys in PA were stellar, and I would recomend them to anyone.

i got my late model 04 well below invoice...i found information on invoice price, dealer incentives, dealer rebates and dealer holdback on NADA guides, just google NADA. The info cost nothing, you just had to be willing to suffer through a few links to find it. dealer showed me their invoice price and it matched to the penny.
