Available Options for 05 V8????

Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase a V8 Treg. The 04's seem to have lots of headaches, from what I've been reading in clubtouareg. So I was looking at 05's to try to avoid some of the 04 plagues, but not spend a ton on something newer like an 06 or 07.

Does anyone have, or know where I could find, a list of all the available options for the V8 in 05? So far, I know there's nav, air suspension, 4 zone climate, upgraded stereo, and a back-up camera. What else was available? Are there different levels of differential locking as available options? How do I know if it has the upgraded stereo?

I'm a bit of a newbie to the Treg, and certainly want to do my research before buying. I just haven't been able to find an 05 options list anywhere.

List-wise, someone posted that info a while ago. I downloaded it, but have no idea where its at now.

Actually, the back-up camera came with the Nav starting in '06, and was unavailable before then.

Diff lock options are a standard center locker on all models, and an available rear locker. THis is indicated most readily by a fourth position on the transfer case control switch on the console. For a rear locker, there is a position at the 6-o-clock location. No rear locker means no 6-o-clock position is labeled.

Stereo-wise, I'm not sure if there's an RPO code on the sticker in the spare tire well for the sound systems or not. I would think there is, but really don't know. If you have Nav, you have the top-line Sound II 375-watt amp with 11 speakers. Sound I (300-watts, 11 speakers) came in package 1, which included bi-xenon headlights. I think it's safe to say if you have the xenons and no Nav, you have Sound I. To verify, you can barely make out the cooling fins of an amp in the right rear compartment, up above the removable panel. This view may be obscured if you have a CD changer back there. It would be directly above the CDC if you have one.

I am in similar situation and for the past few weeks I been researching everything possible about Touaregs. This site and vwvortex.com is a treasure trove of information. Here is the site that lists options for 2005: Used 2005 Volkswagen Touareg Options. View 2005 Options, packages. Just to let you know some '05 Tregs (especially early '05) have similar problems to '04 models. Extended warranty is your best bet if you don't want to risk it. I am taking a plunge on the '04 V8 mainly for money reasons. Hopefully everything will work out and we will enjoy our cars as much as possible!
