2009 Touareg

I got my new Autoweek yesterday. They were talking about the new cirroco. As a side note the had a list of future products for VW.

For the year 2009 They stated that there will be an electric hybrid Touareg.
Also the V6 and the V8 will be direct injection, and the w12 will become a V12 with the Audi engine.

the V6 is already direct injection and the V8 will follow shortly. Audi doesn't have (or at least currently doesn't use) a V12, they use the same W12 VW is using in the A8.
I think this info is highly unreliable.

I believe that the current gas injection system for the US V8 and V6 touareg is TBI system. Here is a good write up about the direct injection

As far as the V12 maybe Audi is coming out with this if not already in production in Europe.

I found that the Electric hybrid coming was the most facinating.
