What can I do with the media input in the glovebox? | I'm using the media input in the glovebox, but you can't use the USB adapter that comes with it. That's only for a flashdrive. I bought the $43 000051446C part from my VW dealer and it allows full control of the i-pod through the RNS510 Touch Screen just like on the ipod. Very slick. I've not tried an iPhone, but I would think it would work as well, at least for the music functions. Another board member did mention that, if you use random/shuffle mode, you have to put it back in shuffle each time you power-up the MFD.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll go visit my local VW dealer on Monday and get the cord you mentioned. Have a good 4th.

Yes - Daytime running lights can be disabled through MFD.
Cheers,

I just saw the setting menu this weekend. Just to double check its under settings, then lighting, and then scroll to the bottom there is a check box that says DRL on or off.

Needs to be programmed via the Vag-Com cable. Check Ross-Tech or find someone local who can do it for you. I believe there is a section here on ClubTouareg to match up with folks who have the software and cable.

If used that feature was VAGged by the previous owner. It does not come that way from the factory.
