Interesting...I'll check again tonight , but 90% sure I couldn't disable it. Anyone else been able to on an 09?

Are you hooking up your ipod with the aux input under the armrest or with the media input in the glovebox? My iphone works fine with the aux input and i can control the volume with the controls on the wheel but nothing else (cant change the songs, etc...) What can I do with the media input in the glovebox?
I'm using the media input in the glovebox, but you can't use the USB adapter that comes with it. That's only for a flashdrive. I bought the $43 000051446C part from my VW dealer and it allows full control of the i-pod through the RNS510 Touch Screen just like on the ipod. Very slick. I've not tried an iPhone, but I would think it would work as well, at least for the music functions. Another board member did mention that, if you use random/shuffle mode, you have to put it back in shuffle each time you power-up the MFD.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll go visit my local VW dealer on Monday and get the cord you mentioned. Have a good 4th.

Yes - Daytime running lights can be disabled through MFD.

Cheers,

I just spent 30 minutes double-checking, still no DRL option. Looks like I'll have to Vag-Com it somewhere.

Mine is a US. I guess you can't on the 09. I just saw the setting menu this weekend. Just to double check its under settings, then lighting, and then scroll to the bottom there is a check box that says DRL on or off.

Needs to be programmed via the Vag-Com cable. Check Ross-Tech or find someone local who can do it for you. I believe there is a section here on ClubTouareg to match up with folks who have the software and cable.

Did you buy your Treg new or used? If used that feature was VAGged by the previous owner. It does not come that way from the factory.
